DiskWarrior
Question
I just purchased a new Mac, and now my DiskWarrior CD does not start the computer.
Answer
It’s possible that your DiskWarrior CD does not have the correct system files required for your machine.
Determine the revision number of your DiskWarrior CD and e-mail it to Tech.Support@Alsoft.com. To find the revision number follow the steps below.
If your computer is running Mac OS 9:
- Put the CD in your computer.
- When the CD shows up on the desktop close all open windows and click one time on the CD icon to highlight it.
- When the CD icon is highlighted go to File in the Menu Bar, select Get Info and select General Information.
- In the comments section at the bottom of the General Information window ,you will see CD Revision xx.
If your computer is running Mac OS 10.4.x:
- Put the CD in your computer.
- When the CD shows up on the desktop close all open windows and click one time on the CD icon to highlight it.
- When the CD icon is highlighted go to File in the Menu Bar, select Get Info and select General Information.
- In the Spotlight Comments section at the top of the General Information window ,you will see CD Revision xx.
Note:
If you have a very old DiskWarrior CD (2.1.1 or earlier - a silver CD with an arm holding a sword), the revision number may not be visible in the comments section of the General Information window while running under Mac OS X. If you are running under Mac OS X you will need to restart the machine under Mac OS 9.x to obtain the revision number.
